Murchison Falls National Park

Covering almost 4,000 km², Murchison Falls is Uganda’s largest and oldest conservation area, where the Victoria Nile plunges 45 meters through a narrow gorge. Morning game drives reveal elephants, Rothschild’s giraffes, lions and Uganda kob grazing on the savannah, while afternoon boat cruises take you within feet of basking hippos and crocodiles along the riverbanks. Birdwatchers will delight in over 450 species, including the rare shoe-billed stork, and sunset views from the top of the falls make for spectacular photographs.
